Sandbach Round Table recently held their annual hog roast and charity market as part of the Sandbach Transport Festival.

The hog roast was a great success with members of the public and visitors of the Festival, this meant The Round Table had completely sold out of food by 2pm.

Tobin Gardner who organised the event for Round Table said" This year's hog roast was a big challenge for all the members of Sandbach Round Table. To get the pigs cooked in time for the morning visitors we needed to start cooking at 2am. To achieve this we used 3 shifts of volunteers working throughout the night. All of the team worked really hard and we managed to raise just over £400 for local charities."

The hog roast was sponsored by local business Roberts Bakery who kindly donated all of the bread for the event to Sandbach Round Table.

The money raised from the event will donated to local charities and good causes in Sandbach.
