On July 3, 2013 – July 6, 2013, a team of around 30 members from Sandbach Round Table and Sandbach 41 Club took the Three Peaks Challenge.
The 3 Peaks Challenge is to climb the three highest peaks of England, Scotland and Wales – Snowdon, in Wales (1085m), Scafell Pike, in England (978m), Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1344m)
Each year in the UK over 3000 babies die before their first birthday and 1 in 30 are born with a condition which may affect them for life. Sparks funds life-saving research into conditions affecting babies, children and mums-to-be.
This is a great charity that helps provide care to many patients as well as research into lifesaving treatments. During recent visits it is clear that the children’s play equipment on the day ward is old and broken and our funds would help to provide new equipment.
This is a voluntary service that provides to the local community. They are a Registered Charity set up in 1986, with the objective of assisting the visually impaired, or those suffering some temporary or permanent incapacity or disability which makes reading a strain, by the provision of recorded or tactile reading matter.
We would like to thank in advance all of those involved in this fantastic event:
