Sandbach Roundtable are proud to announce that they raised valuable funds for the Northwest Air Ambulance with a sponsored bike ride from Pointoise in Paris back to the Cobbles in Sandbach

The North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) is the only regional medical air emergency service covering Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria. Costing £1.9 million a year to maintain, the NWAA covers all major road traffic incidents, serious sports accidents and incidents in areas with poor and restricted road access.

The activities started on the 20th September when our intrepid team of 21 fighting fit tablers and Michael Knight (he's driving), made an early start to the Channel Tunnel.  Arriving in the evening at Pointoise in France, where our colleagues in the French 201  Round Table greeting them. A night of beer tasting & peaceful refection of the days ahead ensued I'm sure.

21st September. The first leg of this epic journey took our tablers from Pointoise heading North East towards Le Harve. Arriving in time to board the ferry to Portsmouth.  A few well deserved refreshments were consumed on the journey across the channel back to Blighty. They were greeted that evening by our colleagues in Portsmouth RT.  A night of beer, curry & fellowship, with a bit of rump rubbing and sore cream application took place. 

22nd September. Leaving Portsmouth behind we headed North to Evesham. Taking in some of the finest views that England has to offer. We arrived in the Evening at Evesham & were greeted by our colleagues in Evesham RT. There taking in the hospitality of
Evesham RT, as it coincided perfectly with their Summer Ball.  Again Pain Relief (beer) will be taken in copious amounts.

23rd September.  Leaving Evesham we were on the last leg of the
journey back to Sandbach. Arriving Back at the Cobbles for the early evening at the Market Tavern.  Greeted by our WAGS for refreshments and further pain relief. Ready for work on the Monday morning!
