Sandbach Round Table in the Community |

Part of our activities include community related events. Probably our two best known are the "Pig Roast" in May and the "Santa Christmas Float", run throughout most of December. Both events not only raise valuable funds that allow us to support our community projects, but they enable Sandbach Round Table to get a good deal of fun out of the organising and execution of the events. In 2006 we organised the first ever "Sandbach Beer Festival" that was held at the Sandbach Cricket Club on Hind Heath Lane. The event managed to raise £3000 for the Leonard Cheshire Hospice in Sandbach. As a result of the success the beer festival it has now become an annual event, which will enable us to raise much needed funds for future charity projects like; the "North West Air Ambulance" & a more local service, the Talking Newspaper. Sandbach Round Table are willing to help anyone raise funds or work for charity. Recently we help the local charity shop Debra to redecorate the entire premises inside and out. We have helped the fund raising activities in schools where recently donated £500 toward each the Sandbach Boys and Girls schools for funds toward educational trips to Hong Kong and Kenya respectively. In November 2006 we donated £500 to the under 7s soccer school to help fund a new set of bibs, goals and other equipment to help the up and coming stars of football.
